Mermaid Live — Diagrams & PDF Export for Confluence ("the App") is a Confluence Cloud app developed and operated by Scritt Solutions ("Scritt", "we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what the App stores, where it stores it, and how long it keeps it.
1. Who we are
Scritt Solutions, a sole proprietorship operated by Ryosuke Kamei and based in Tokorozawa, Saitama, Japan, develops and operates the App. Our detailed address is disclosed without delay on request. Contact us at support@scritt.com.
2. Where your data goes
The App makes no requests to any server outside Atlassian. It runs on the Atlassian Forge platform and declares no external permissions, which means the Forge platform blocks such requests. Everything is stored in Forge app storage and in Confluence itself. There is no account to create, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.
We cannot read the contents of your Forge app storage.
3. What the App stores
The App stores the Mermaid source you type as part of the Confluence macro on your page, and a PNG rendering of your diagram as an attachment on the same page. Both live inside your own Atlassian site. The App also keeps a small record in Atlassian's Forge storage — a reference to that attachment, plus a copy of the diagram source and its rendered SVG — so that exports to PDF and Word can embed the diagram.
4. Personal data
The App does not store names, email addresses, account identifiers, or any other personal data. Diagnostic logs identify the page and macro involved and never include the contents of your diagrams.
5. Access
Diagram images are written with your own Confluence permissions when the App repairs a stored diagram, so a user with read-only access cannot alter stored content.
6. Retention and deletion
Deleting a page removes the macro and its Mermaid source with it, along with the attached PNG. The record in Forge storage — the attachment reference, the copy of the source, and the rendered SVG — remains until you uninstall the App.
After you uninstall the App, Atlassian permanently deletes that record within 28 days. The App does not delete it any sooner, because within that window Atlassian can restore your data if the App was uninstalled by mistake.
7. Children
The App is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the App's data handling changes, and we will change the date at the top. Material changes will also appear in the App's Marketplace release notes.
